Men’s Basketball heads to Thanksgiving Break with 5-2 record after win at Roxbury

Haverhill, MA (November 22, 2017) – The Northern Essex Community College men's basketball team picked up their fifth win of the season on Tuesday night as they defeated Roxbury Community College 110-87. The win moves the Knights to 4-1 in region play as they currently sit in third place on the young season.

On Tuesday, sophomore Eddie Cardona (Haverhill, MA) led the Knights offensively as he contributed a game high 29 points. Cardona is currently averaging 21.9 points per game.

Five additional players joined Cardona in double figures on Tuesday, DJ Greenhalgh (Dracut, MA) and Guney Kilitcioglu (Istanbul, Turkey) each added 13 points. Alexis Estrella (Lawrence, MA) and Emir Alagoz (Istanbul, Turkey) each added 12.

Kyle Scott (Dracut, MA) was also in double figures as he added 11 points on triggered by 3 of 3 shooting from beyond the arc.

The Knights return to action at home on Tuesday November 28th when they will host Mass Bay Community College with first tip set for 6:00pm
