Haverhill, MA (March 14, 2018) - The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced on Wednesday that Northern Essex Community College sophomore right hander Corey Imbriano (Wakefield, MA) was named the association's National Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 5th to 11th.

On Saturday, Imbriano made his season debut for the Knights in the first game of the teams swing through Florida. Over six innings of work, he struck out 11 batters and did not issue a walk in the sother trip opening win over Vermillion Community College. The three hits allowed were all of the single variety.
 
The Knights are currently sitting at 5-5 on the season with four games remaining in Florida. Imbriano is scheduled to get the start on Thursday morning as the Knights will play Prince George's Community College.
