Goldstein Double-Double helps Knights get back in the win column

Haverhill, MA (December 5th 2018) – A double-double effort of 14 points and 14 rebounds from sophomore Adam Goldstein (North Reading, MA) helped the Northern Essex Community College men's basketball get back into the win column on Tuesday night with an 85-73 victory over Quinsigamond Community College. With the win the Knights improve to 8-3 on the season.

Eddie Cardona (Haverhill, MA) had a team high 21 points for Knights to go along with 6 assists.

The Knights had three additional scorers in double figures on Tuesday night. Freshman DJ Greenhalgh (Dracut, MA) had 15 points, Emir Alagoz (Istanbul, Turkey) tossed in 14 and Kyle Martin (Amesbury, MA) had 11.

The Knights return to the court on Thursday when they head to Bristol Community College for a 7:00pm tip. The Knights final home game of the first semester is Saturday at 1:00pm when they will host UConn-Avery Point.

Northern Essex Community College competes as a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and sponsors eight varsity intercollegiate sports including baseball, men's basketball, softball, women's volleyball, men's and women's cross country and men's and women's track and field.
