Knights drop non-divisional contest to CCRI

Haverhill, MA (January 23, 2018) – Freshman Rob Quinlan's (North Andover, MA) first career double-double that included a career highs in points (20) and rebounds (12) was not enough for the Northern Essex Community College men's basketball team on Tuesday evening. The Knights dropped the contest to Community College of Rhode Island by a final score of 83-69. With the loss, the Knights fall to 9-8 overall on the season.

Freshman Kyle Martin (Amesbury, MA) also contributed a double-double of his own with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Tom Jacobs (Tynsborough, MA) and Guney Kilitcioglu (Istanbul, Turkey) also scored in double figures for the Knights as they added 13 and 12 points respectively.  Jacobs also contributed eight rebounds on the evening for the Knights.

Joshua Williams had 20 points for CCRI to tie Quinlan for the game high.

The Knights return home on Thursday January 25th as they will play host to Bunker Hill Community College with tip off set for 7:00pm. The game will be the start of three straight homes games for the Knights.
