NECC Announces Spectator Policy for 2021-22 Seasons

Haverhill, MA (September 2, 2021) – Northern Essex Community College Athletics has announced a spectator policy for all home contests. Once again, spectators will be allowed to attend all NECC athletics home events.

The following spectator policies will be in place for the health and safety of all spectators, players, staff, and game officials.

·         At OUTDOOR venues, fans will not be required to wear masks while attending NECC home contests, but social distancing is strongly encouraged

·         At INDOOR events in the Sport and Fitness Center, all fans attending NECC home contests must be masked, regardless of vaccination status and maintain social distance.

The Knights begin action on Wednesday, September 8 when the men's soccer team hosts Southern Maine Community College at 4:00pm on the campus soccer field. Women's volleyball will open their season at home on Tuesday September 14 at 6:00pm against Massasoit Community College.

If you are unable to support the Knights in person, live video will be available for all volleyball matches and basketball games. Links are available on our website. Social media updates will also be provided through @neccknights on both Instagram and Twitter.

Please note there may be different guidelines in place at away contests not held on the NECC campus. We encourage you to contact the host institution or visit their athletic department website to find information on COVID policies in place at their school.
