Esports remain unbeaten in Overwatch

Haverhill, MA (March 8, 2021) – The Esports Overwatch team continues its stellar start to the spring season as they remain perfect at 4-0 and sit tied in first place with California State- Dominguez Hills in the New England Collegiate Conference.

In week 3 action, the Knights picked up a 2-1 victory over Missouri Baptist University. After winning the Oasis map to start the match 2-1, NECC dropped Eichenwalde by a 3-2 score before picking up a 5-3 decision on Route 66 and taking the match.

Jason McDonald (FreakyJ) of Georgetown earned player of the game honors as he recorded 60 eliminations in the in the deciding third game. Jason De Leon (Sirus) of Lawrence and Alex Montanez (Fabled) of Methuen both chipped in with 35 eliminations on the Oasis map.

In Rainbow Six: Siege action the Knights dropped a 2-0 decision to Butler. The Knights dropped both the Villa and Kafe Dostoyevsky by 7-1 and 7-4 scores. David Callagham (Dcalli) of Salem, NH was the bright spot in the loss as he had a team high 5 kills.

Joshua Silva (jnosh_16) of Amesbury picked up a forfeit win in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate over Kishwaukee College.
