Knights shutout UC-Davis in Overwatch action

Haverhill, MA (March 15, 2021) – The Northern Essex Community College Overwatch team remains unbeaten and atop the conference standings (5-0) in spring semester action as they took a 3-0 win over UC Davis on Saturday.

After falling behind 1-0 on the opening Nepal map, NECC rallied for the next two points and the opening map victory. They would follow with a 4-3 win on the Numbani map before shutting the Aggies down 3-0 on the Dorado map for the shutout victory as they didn't allow the UC-Davis objective past the first defensive point.

Jacob Pimentel (Tilted) of Haverhill earned player of the game honors in the match.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate action, Joshua Silva (jnosh_16) of Amesbury suffered his first defeat of the season falling 4-2 to Gogebic Community College. The loss drops Silva's record for the semester to 4-1.

Eli Abbott (Bigdaddy25477) of Newburyport dropped a 2-0 decision in NBA2K to Central Wyoming College playing as the Celtics he fell to the Hawks by scores of 84-20 and 81-31. Abbott now sits with a 2-3 record on the season.

Currently sitting at 1-3 for the season the Knights had a bye week on Rainbow Six: Seige and will resume play this coming week.
