Groton, CT (November 20, 2021) - A shorthanded Northern Essex Community College men's basketball took a 14 point lead into the locker room at halftime and hung on for a three point victory on the road Saturday afternoon at the University of Connecticut-Avery Point. Metin Yavuz (Istanbul, TR) grabbed a game high 17 rebounds to go along with eight points.

The Knights will return home on Tuesday as they step back out of conference to host the Herons of Great Bay Community College.
