Volleyball wraps up regular season with 3-1 win over BHCC

Haverhill, MA (October 22, 2019) - The NECC women's volleyball team picked up a 3-1 victory over Bunker Hill Community College at home Tuesday night to conclude the regular season. The Knights have secured the #2 seed in the upcoming regional tournament.

The win improved the Knights overall record to 8-14 and their conference record to 7-3.

Sarah Shattuck (Andover) led the Knights offensive attack with 30 kills, she also served up seven aces. On the defensive side of the net she also had 16 digs.

Crislauris Cruz (Lawrence/Greater Lawrence) had a total of 22 assists working alongside Tiary Gonzales (Haverhill/Invivienda) who added 18 assists as part of the teams 48 kill match.

Brooke Naatz (North Andover) also contributed a strong two way game with 11 kills and 10 digs, while Zaida Pemental Gamboa (Rowley/) added 15 digs on the defensive side.

The Knights hit the road Sunday, October 27th for the Region XXI Semi-Finals vs Quinsigamond Community College. Match time is set for 1:00pm at Holyoke Community College. A win would send the Knights to the championship match later Sunday afternoon.
