Volleyball stays hot with 3-0 win over NHTI

Haverhill, MA (March 4, 2021) – The Northern Essex Community College volleyball team has continued its perfect start to the abbreviated spring COVID season improving to 3-0 with a sweep of NHTI (25-5, 25-11, 25-13) on Wednesday night in the Sport & Fitness Center.

As a team the Knights attacked at a .278 clip with Abigail Heredia (Lawrence) and Lismari Valdez (Haverhill) leading the offense. They each contributed 13 and 11 blocks respectively.

Vielka Sanchez (Lawrence) provided the spark for the offensive effort as she dished out 30 assists. Valdez showed strong two way play as she also contributed 11 digs on the defensive side of the ball.

The Knights will return to the court next Wednesday March 10th when they travel to Concord, NH to face off for a second time with NHTI, before returning home to conclude the spring season on March 17th against Becker College.
