Knights make it seven straight with road win over CCRI

Warwick, RI (December 1, 2022) – The Northern Essex Community College men's basketball team, ranked #12 in the most recent NJCAA national poll picked up their seventh consecutive win on Thursday night as they picked up a 90-76 win on the road over the Community College of Rhode Island. With the win, NECC improves to 11-1 on the season and remain unbeaten in Region 21 action at 6-0. 

After a back and forth first half NECC took a 46-42 lead to the locker room at halftime. The game remained close before the Knights opened up their double digit of the game with just over nine minutes remaining in the second half and CCRI never got the game closer than eight points down the stretch. 

Luis Reynoso (Lawrence) led the offense for the Knights as he was the games high scorer with 26 points. He was joined in double figures by Cristian Kinsley (Lawrence) who dropped 18 points and Edwin SamMbaka (Paris, FR) recorded 12 points. 

Ryan Pacy (Salem, NH) added nine points in his return to the lineup after missing three games with illness. 

NECC will remain on the road on Saturday when they travel to Springfield Technical Community College. Tip-off is set for 1:00pm.
