Haverhill, MA (November 22, 2023) – The #2 nationally ranked Northern Essex Community College men's basketball team improved to 8-0 on Sunday afternoon as they cruised past Suffolk County (NY) Community College on the second day of the NECC Turkey Classic by an 82-50 final.

NECC jumped out to an early 11-0 before the Sharks got on the board, before taking a 41-30 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Luis Reynoso (Lawrence) returned to double figures for the game and recorded his seventh double-double of the season with a game high 14 point, 14 rebound performance that also included a pair of steals and blocks.

A trio of Knights joined Reynoso in double figures as Karl Wolfgang (Douala, CM) and Jalen Aquino (Lawrence) recorded 13 points apiece while Gabe Zorilla (Lawrence) added 11.

For their efforts over the weekend, both Wolfgang and Aquino were named to the NECC Turkey Classic All-Tournament Team.

The Knights will return to Region 21 action on Tuesday as they stay home to host Bristol Community College with tip-off set for 6:00pm at the Sport and Fitness Center.
