Haverhill, MA (December 18, 2024) – The #12 nationally ranked Northern Essex Community College men's basketball team picked up their 12th straight win on the season to improve to 14-2 overall and in the process picked up their 41st straight win on Sport and Fitness Center floor to close out the season's first half with an 88-79 win over visiting Kingsborough Community College.
In a tightly contest game throughout, the Knights held a 43-36 lead at halftime, before outscoring the Wave by a 45-43 total in the second half.
Javien Kirmil (Lowell) scored a team high 18 points and led five Knights in double figures, while also picking up four assists and two steals.
Alejandro Delgado (Haverhill) followed with 13 points and 11 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the season.
Cristian Moscat (Lawrence) tossed in 11 points, while Ryan Pacy (Salem, NH) and Christian Sanders (Boston) had 10 apiece.
The Knights will return to the court on Saturday January 11th when they travel to New York to take on LaGuardia Community College at 3:00pm.
