Willimantic, CT (April 22, 2022) - Catherine Schwartz (Groveland) provided the highlight for the Knights track and field squad on Friday afternoon at the ECSU Track and Field Invitational as she qualified for next months national championship with a 100 meter dash qualifying time.

Her time of 13.61 in the dash placed her 8th in the meet on Friday against primarily four-year competition and currently ranks 13th in the nation in the event at the NJCAA Divison III level. She also finsihed 12th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 29.43.

On the men's side, Francisco Laracuente (Amesbury) ran a time of 66.59 to place 5th in the 400 meter hurdles. His best time on the season currently ranks him 6th nationally. Jacob Klembowski (Haverhill) ran a time of 12.36 in the 100 while also competing in both of the horizontal jumping events as well.
