Haverhill, MA (January 30, 2024) - Three scorers in double figures led by a game high 17 points from Mirelys Morales (Dracut) propelled the Northern Essex Community College women's basketball team past Roxbury Community College by a 66-39 final score. With the win, the Knights improved to 8-6 on the season and 7-2 in Region 21 play.
Emma Ruggerio (Chelmsford) and Kamryn Pastorello (Billerica) joined Morales in double figures with 14 and 11 points respectively. Morales added 14 rebounds and 11 for Ruggerio gave the pair each a double double.
The Haverhill duo of Janissa Price and Iesha Burgos each added 9 points.
The Knights took a 30-25 to the locker room before opening the game up in the third quarter outscoring the Tigers 20-4.
The Knights will return to the court on Thursday February 8th when they play host to Massasoit Community College at 5:30pm at the Sport and Fitness Center
