Holyoke, MA (September 17, 2022) – Hitting the court for a double header Saturday, the Northern Essex Community College women's volleyball team split two matches defeating Holyoke Community College 3-2 while later falling 3-1 to Massasoit Community College.
In the first match, the Knights won by set scores of 25-21, 25-21, and 15-9. Caroline Burns (Haverhill, MA) and Kaithlene Perez-Flores (Lowell, MA) led the offense with 13 and 7 kills, respectively.
Eliany Dejesus (Lowell, MA) had 19 assists to help in the offensive attack.
Defensively, Ashley Martinez (Lawrence, MA) led the way with 19 digs, while Perez-Flores had 15 digs. Dejesus and Burns also aided the defense with 11 digs each.
The Knights will be back on the court Tuesday Spetember 20th for their first home game of the season. The match will take place in the Sport and Fitness Center on the Haverhill Campus at 6:30pm as they host CCRI.
