Knights dropped by SMCC in non-conference tilt

Haverhill, MA (November 11, 2021) – The Northern Essex Community College men's basketball dropped a non-conference matchup to Southern Maine Community College 90-54 on Thursday afternoon at the Sport and Fitness Center. The loss dropped the Knights to 2-3 on the season overall.

Without the services of a pair of starters, the Knights struggled to get the offense going early and trailed 34-22 at the break.

Metin Yavuz (Istanbul, TR) was the game's high scorer to lead the Knights with 22 points. Elijah Haas (Haverhill) tossed in 12 points to join Yavuz in double figures.

The Seawolves had four players in double figures led by Zach Mickle with 18.

Northern Essex shot 43% from the free throw line in the game.
