For the week the Knights also picked up a victory in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate over Cedar Rapids by a 4-1 score.

NECC Announces Plans for Returning to CompetitionJanuary 22, 2021The Northern Essex Community College athletic program will return to intercollegiate competition this spring semester. The men’s basketball and women’s volleyball teams will return to competition in February along with Esports, which is coed.

Knights capture inaugural NECC Overwatch ChampionshipNovember 23, 2020Haverhill, MA (November 23, 2020) – The Northern Essex Community College Esports Overwatch team captured the inaugural New England Collegiate Conference Overwatch championship on Saturday afternoon in convincing fashion with a 4-1 victory over the Eagles of Central Methodist University of Missouri. The championship is the third in the programs history since its establishment at the start of the 2019-20 year, as the Knights captured a pair NJCAA Championships in the spring of 2020 in Rocket League and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

NECC Athletics announces Return to Athletics PlanJuly 15, 2020Haverhill, MA (July 15th 2020) – The Northern Essex Community College Department of Athletics is pleased to announce its plans for returning to intercollegiate practice and competition for the 2020-21 athletics season in the wake of COVID-19. Following the Return to Play plans of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) for the 2020-21 sports seasons, the Knights will plan to offer all of their varsity programs during the course of the academic year.
