Springfield, MA (November 9, 2023) – The #5 nationally ranked men's basketball team jumped out to 11-0 lead on Thursday night and never looked back as they cruised to a 95-33 victory over the host Rams of Springfield Tech. With the win, NECC improves to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in Region 21 play.

After the early onslaught the Knights never back down as they took a 50 point lead into the half-time break at 59-9.

13 different Knights recoded points on Thursday night led by a game high 17 from Luis Reynoso (Lawrence) who picked up his third double-double in as many games as he grabbed 13 rebounds.

Jalen Aquino (Lawrence), Jesus Carpio (Methuen) and Edwin SamMbaka (Paris, FR) joined Reynoso in double figures with 12, 11 and 10 points respectively.

The Knights will return home on Saturday as they host Essex County (NJ) College at the Sport and Fitness Center at 1:00pm. As part of the game, NECC will be honoring Veterans Day with special occasion uniforms that will be up for auction during the game with all monies raised being donated to the Veterans Northeast Outreach Center in Haverhill
