Haverhill, MA (November 28, 2023) – Luis Reynoso (Lawrence) had his biggest performance of the season as the #2 nationally ranked Northern Essex Community College men's basketball ran away from Bristol Community College on Tuesday night by a 102-68 to improve to 9-0 on the season and 5-0 in Region 21 play.

Reynoso recorded his second career and first of the season triple-double in a Knights uniform as he recorded 23 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists leading the way for five scorers in double digits for the Knights. He also added three blocked shots.

The Knights were sounds on the defensive side of the ball all night as Edwin SamMbaka (Paris, FR) and Karl Wolfgang (Douala, CM) swatted away three and two ball respectively. While the Knights swarming defense forced 22 Bayhawk turnovers.

Javien Kirmil (Lowell) was behind Reynoso in points as he had 13 points while SamMbaka, Wolfgang and Darlin Santiago (Salem) each had 10 points of their own.

All 14 players who saw game action on Tuesday for Northern Essex recorded at least two or more points.

NECC will hit the road on Thursday when they travel to Warwick, RI to take on Community College of Rhode Island for an 8:00pm tip off. The Knights return home on Saturday to host MassBay at 12:00pm in the Sport and Fitness Center.
